The ongoing flood emergency in New South Wales and Queensland has caused catastrophic damage and impacted hundreds of thousands of people’s lives. Significantly, damaging thousands of homes, leaving communities devastated, and tragically, lives lost.
As a proud community-based organisation, G&C Mutual Bank has an important role to play, helping to support the local communities who have been directly impacted by the floods. With so many lives being adversely affected by the recent weather events, in partnership with the Australian Mutuals Foundation (AMF), G&C Mutual Bank, and Summerland Credit Union are offering small grants to assist co-operatives, mutuals and the members of these organisations.
To facilitate community involvement, the Australian Mutuals Foundation has activated its emergency/disaster relief donations portal. This portal provides the ability for the broader Australian co-operative and mutual community members to donate essential funds, that will be used to help communities recover in the wake of the devastation caused by the floods.
