This prestigious award recognises Ben's outstanding dedication, leadership, and commitment to delivering exceptional patient care. Ben, a veteran of NSW Ambulance for 21 years, has been instrumental in expanding the Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) Virtual Care model.
Ben’s tireless efforts have enabled patients with various conditions to receive care at home, reducing emergency department presentations and hospital admissions. This collaboration earned Ben and his team a finalist spot in the MNCLHD Excellence Awards and ultimately won the Governing Board Chair Award for 'Elevating Patient Care – Dynamic Hospital Avoidance Solutions'.
The Acting Chief Executive for MNCLHD, Jill Wong, personally expressed her gratitude for Ben's support and engagement. “[Ben's] leadership and commitment have been indispensable. The seamless coordination between NSW Ambulance and MNC Virtual Care sets a standard for collaborative healthcare. Your efforts have propelled us towards our shared goal of delivering accessible, high-quality healthcare.”
