G&C Mutual Bank supports Cyber Security Awareness Month, which launched in October. The Act now, stay secure campaign encourages you to update your devices and software to help prevent cybercriminals from taking advantage of any weaknesses.
In addition to the campaign, the Australian Cyber Security Centre (ACSC) has launched a range of Personal Cyber Security Guides to help Australians boost their cyber defences.
Australians are increasingly going online to keep in touch with friends and family, shop, learn, and to be entertained. Meanwhile, cybercriminals are constantly on the hunt for poorly secured devices and accounts to exploit, which is why staying cyber secure is so important.
The Personal Cyber Security Guides include three easy-to-understand guides on how Australians can take action against common cyber threats. The guides are designed to suit all levels of experience from First Steps to Next Steps and Advanced Steps.
The ACSC has also launched How to Use the Internet Securely – A Guide for Seniors, which has lots of practical advice and tips to help seniors stay secure online.
