Australian Government support

The Australian Federal Government’s Disaster Recovery Payments have been extended and made available to people living in impacted local government areas. The disaster payments mean people impacted by the floods will receive a one-off payment of $1,000 per eligible adult and $400 per child younger than 16 if your home has been severely damaged or destroyed, or you've been seriously injured.

The Disaster Recovery Allowance is short-term income assistance if you've lost income as a direct result of the floods.

The New Zealand Disaster Recovery Payment & Allowance provides support for New Zealanders adversely affected by the floods.

Visit Services Australia or call 180 22 66 to find out if you're eligible.
