G&C Mutual Bank remains committed to your security and privacy online and that’s why we have employed a wide range of security measures to help you bank online in a safe and secure environment.
With a number of recent cyber-attacks in Australia and the increasing prevalence of scams, we wanted to take this opportunity to again remind members to be vigilant when banking online.
Online Banking
It’s important to change your password regularly and use a strong access code between 8-12 characters using a combination of upper and lower case letters, numbers and other symbols. Never use sequential number patterns or personal information, such as a birthdate or anniversary, which might be easy to guess or gather from social media pages.
Mobile App
When you first log into our Mobile App you will be required to use your member number and Online Banking password. You can then set a 6 digit PIN/Pattern on your device to ensure future logins are convenient and secure. Use a strong screen lock and set a PIN/Pattern that cannot be easily guessed, and ensure you keep your device locked when you’re not using it.
To understand how we help to keep you safe, please refer to our Security page and for information on common scams or security threats and how to protect yourself, please visit the News section of our website.
