G&C Mutual Bank's staff members, Teresa and Catrina, joined volunteers from other Australian Mutuals to accompany children from Barnardos Australia to the Sydney Special Children’s Christmas Party at Rosehill Gardens.
“The happiness and excitement of the day, the thrilled looks on the children’s faces as they enjoyed the entertainment and received their presents made this such a rewarding experience for us as volunteers,” said Teresa.
This very special Christmas party delighted children who face significant challenges in their daily lives, whether that be living with serious illness, physical or intellectual impairment, domestic violence or living in underprivileged circumstances. The party's aim was to bring smiles to these children's faces for at least one day this year, which the event certainly achieved.
Coordinated by the Australian Mutuals Foundation, this wonderful event gets bigger and better each year. This year's Sydney party included fun rides, stage shows, celebrity characters, interactive games, toys, face painting, delicious food and, of course, a special visit from Santa.
